Dymock 1914 Remembered
Exhibition
Saturday 12th July, From 12 Noon in Dymock Parish Hall

Picture, Dymock Station Staff
The staff at Dymock station!

A fascinating collection of photographs, documents and memorabilia will be assembled
providing a flavour of life in our community around 100 years ago
including a short history of the railway through Dymock, sometimes called 'The Daffodil Line'.
Almost certainly this line would have been used by the recruits
who left the village to fight in the First World War.

(If you have photos and memorabilia that you would like to share,
please contact Paul Pearson 07546 511569)

Refreshments including traditional cakes and biscuits will be provided by members of the W.I.

Your help is needed!

Records and information about those from Dymock who died in the two world wars,
including the location of their graves and an outline of their military history
will be presented together with pictures and information about of some of the men.

One of the men was the Headmaster at Ann Cam School, but much information is missing
of those from Dymock who served their country in its hour of need.

If you help with any other information or fill in the many missing details of these men:
Contact:  David Clowes (01531 892951)

Also available will be lists of those who returned from WWI,
and a list of many who served in the Home Guard in Dymock during WW2
but no list of those who returned from that conflict.

Come and see what we have found so far and let us know if our records are incorrect
or you can fill in the many gaps we have
